The Technical Documentation and Product Support Specialist is a mix of technical documentation and field support. This position will create new, and maintain existing, technical documents related to automotive service equipment while also providing field support to our outside sales representatives. Responsibilities Responsible for updating and creating knowledge base articles and documentation for both internal and external use. Work with product managers and engineers as well as using a wide range of documentation to provide support. Create documentation covering technical procedures such as installation and operation of automotive service equipment. Interact with outside sales representatives to provide technical support for automotive service equipment. Receive email and phone correspondence from outside sales representatives regarding technical product questions and will work with the help desk ticket system to track and record support questions. Special projects, which require organizational skills, following specific instructions, attention to detail, creativity, and the ability to follow through. Candidate must be open to input and instruction from multiple sources. Qualifications Minimum 5 years relevant work experience required. 2-year technical degree is a plus. Candidate must have technical background, strong basic computer skills, interest in hands-on learning. Specific experience with the following will be considered a plus:
Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Creative Cloud Suite, Technical documentation software, as well as any help desk platforms. Candidate must possess strong communication skills, be able to interact with technical associates, and take direction from engineering and marketing staff. Attention to detail and the ability to provide accurate information is critical. General automotive service and/or Hunter equipment knowledge or skills a plus. Candidate should have interest in learning new software and means of digital communication.
Salary Range:
$100K -- $150K
Minimum Qualification
Technical Product ManagementEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
